Al-Nayef wins Amond France Endurance Race

France, June 1 (BNA): As a result of the nonstop patronage and support of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee and Captain of Bahrain Royal Endurance Team, team member Hussain Al Nayef won the qualifying 90 KM race in Amond France yesterday. Al Nayef ‘s achievement came after tough competition with international athletes, including Former Malaysian King and a number of professional riders from Belgium, France and other European countries. It is the first achievement of its kind this season for the team. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa congratulated Al Nayef on his achievement, adding that Al Nayef proved himself in his first abroad participation as a reliable athlete, who promoted the name of the Kingdom in international tournaments. It’s worth mentioning that Al Nayef’s win comes one day after his team mate Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa won the 120 KM race yesterday.On this occasion, Bahrain Royal Endurance Team Manager Dr. Khalid Ahmed Hassan praised the latest achievement, which he attributed to the continuous support of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa to the team, encouraging them to spare no effort in competing for intentional championships. On his part, Al Nayef appreciated the auspices of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who he described as the first supporter and motivator of the team and Bahraini endurance sports.
