Al-Raya Condemns Israeli Escalation in Gaza

Doha, August 11 (QNA) - Qatari newspaper Al-Raya condemned the Israeli escalation in Gaza Strip which adds to its ongoing crimes against the Palestinians who are suffering a blockade that paralyzes all aspects of life. Al-Raya rejected targeting the unarmed Palestinian protesters who do not pose any threat to the occupation forces and only want to affirm their right of return and their rejection of the unjust siege. Israel always escalates the situation and engages the Strip into a cycle of aggression without justification, taking advantage of the unlimited support by Washington and the international silence and helplessness in lifting injustice and aggression against the Palestinian people, especially in Gaza Strip, Al-Raya said. Al-Raya called on Palestinians to unite and solve issues of disputes in order to achieve conciliation as the only way to establish the Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, as affirmed by the State of Qatar during the meeting between HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
