Al-Raya Denounces Saudi Obstacles that Prevented Qatari Pilgrims from Performing Hajj

Doha, August 21 (QNA) - In its editorial today, Al-Raya denounced the Saudi obstacles that prevented the pilgrims of Qatar from the performance of the rituals. The people of Qatar have completed two years without visiting the House of Allah because of these obstacles, it said. The newspaper added that Riyadh has placed impossible conditions for the pilgrimage of our people and falsely claimed, as usual, that Doha has refrained from sending its pilgrims, but that did not happen, as the statement of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs was clear and comprehensive and supported by proofs that Saudi Arabia is the one who prevented Qatari pilgrims from Hajj and the one who avoided giving the necessary guarantees to our people. It stressed that preventing the people of Qatar from visiting the House of Allah and performing Hajj for the second year is a bolt on Saudi Arabia and puts its ability to manage the two holy mosques under the microscope, as it does not hesitate to politicize the Hajj and use it as a pressure card and punishment against countries. In its fabricated crisis with Qatar, all Saudi Arabia's measures were taken against the people of Qatar including the unjust siege and the prevention of Qataris and residents from entering Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj and Umrah. Al-Raya wondered how can Qatar protect its citizens and residents from Saudi slanders and fabricate charges against them if they go to perform the Hajj under the unfair conditions of Saudi Arabia "How can a Qatari go for Hajj at a time when he is a victim of racism and facing a campaign of incitement and direct targeting, especially since there is no Qatari diplomatic representation in Saudi Arabia and not even an office for the Qatari pilgrimage contractor to take care of their affairs The daily pointed as well to the campaigns of incitement and racism against the people of Qatar in the Saudi media. It stressed that Saudi Arabia, which came out to disavow the crime of preventing Qataris from Hajj contradicts itself, and its actions reveal the falsity of their claims, as it requires pilgrims inside Saudi Arabia to be organized under the banner of Hajj campaigns and do not allow Hajj without a campaign. How can it require the people of Qatar to make Hajj without the presence of campaigns or office The Saudi measures harmed also the owners of Qatari Hajj contractors whose losses were estimated at millions. Concluding its editorial, Al-Raya said that history will continue to remember the Saudi crime of preventing Qatari pilgrims from performing the Hajj, saying that its crime will continue to be a disgrace and its ability to manage the two Holy Mosques will continue to be questioned.
