Al-Raya: International Federations Expose Saudi Arabia's Involvement in Pirating beIN Sports Channels

Doha, June 24 (QNA) - Qatari daily Al-Raya underlined the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA)'s first official and direct indictment of Saudi Arabia's involvement in the piracy and theft of exclusive broadcasting rights of beIN SPORTS Channels through BeoutQ channel. The daily condemns the officials in the Kingdom for using all illegal methods to politicize religion, art, culture and sport in their vast conspiracies of the siege of Qatar, thinking that all their violations would go unpunished. Al-Raya said that the Saudi authorities ignored the statements and complaints filed by beIN group to the international associations after BeoutQ's piracy of BeIN Channels Network's exclusive broadcasting rights of 2018 FIFA World Cup. BeoutQ allowed selling devices in the Kingdom to broadcast the World Cup matches illegally, the daily said adding that officials and writers close to the decision-makers in Saudi Arabia promoted the suspicious channel by tweets that proved their piracy of beIN Sports Channels. The Qatari daily highlighted the statements of the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in addition to beIN Sports, NBC, Telemundo and FOX Sports channels which condemn the Saudi Arabia's piracy and the suspicious channel's attack on the rights of the exclusive broadcasting. The paper added that despite the delay of UEFA's statement, it came more severe with strong words that reveal the anger of its officials, and stresses at the same time that UEFA will not hesitate to support the steps that will be taken to punish these criminals. Al-Raya pointed out that the international statements issued by the International Football Federations and the channels that have the right to broadcast the matches exclusively affirmed the defeat of the leaders of the siege countries in the battle for politicizing sport in Saudi Arabia. The newspaper said that officials in Saudi Arabia must pay for their recklessness after the statements of the international institutions and its warnings of the politicization of sport, adding that their conspiracies were revealed in front of the world. In conclusion, Al-Raya said that now the Saudi officials have to apologize for Qatar and its people and to compensate beIN SPORTS for their conspiracies against the rights of the Qatari people not only by politicizing sport, but also by politicizing religion, Hajj, Umrah, art and culture, adding that they also have to apologize for their peoples who no longer tolerate more lies, allegations and false claims.
