Al-Raya: Qatar is Difficult Figure in Gulf System

Doha, May 28 (QNA) - Al-Raya newspaper said that the State of Qatar is a difficult figure in the Gulf system and it is a founder and an authentic supporter of the joint Gulf action and difficult to overcome and that the Gulf countries need Qatar. In an article of its Editor in Chief on Monday, the newspaper denounced Bahraini Foreign Minister Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa's statements when he said that Qatar supports terrorism and is out from the Gulf unanimity. It also expressed regret when he said that the crisis with Qatar will be long and there is no hope for soon solution and that Doha is the only victim, and that the siege countries do not need Qatar. Al-Raya has rebutted Bahraini Minister's allegations that Qatar has sought to internationalize the crisis, has had a negative role in restoration the legitimacy to Yemen and other lies. Qatar has called for dialogue since the first day, and continues to call for a transparent and unconditional dialogue, whereas the siege countries refuse it, the paper said. It also respected the mediation of HH the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, responded to it and abandoned many things and actions that were entitled to do in response to their harassment in respect to this mediation, while the siege countries ignored it. Al-Raya concluded by saying that the State of Qatar will always call for serious and responsible dialogue to resolve this crisis, ensure stability in the region and build strategic relations that serve the interests of all parties, thus restore Gulf relations to its strength and effectiveness, stressing that this necessarily requires the political will that is available in Qatar and unfortunately lacked in the siege countries, which have not yet realized their mistake and crime committed against the people of Qatar.
