Al-Raya Underlines Qatar-China Developed Relation

Doha, July 11 (QNA) - Qatari daily Al-Raya underlined in its editorial Wednesday the depth of Qatar-China relations which have been developed during the past three decades. In this regard, the daily said that HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping have exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two friendly countries which affirms the keenness of the leaderships of the two countries and their joint determination to continue working together to support and consolidate the strategic partnership between the two countries in various fields to serve the common interests of their people. The Qatari paper highlighted the common desire of the two sides to upgrade the Qatari-Chinese bilateral relations into a strategic partnership that promotes the joint cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, energy and cultural exchange to serve the common interests of the two countries and their people. Al-Raya expressed hope that Qatar-China relations will witness new prospects in which the common denominators will be expanded and the mutual trust between the two countries will be solidified in various fields. The daily highlighted the agreement which was signed between the State of Qatar and the People's Republic of China on the mutual exemption of entry visa for citizens of both countries, pointing out that it is a great achievement in the development of Qatar-China relations. Signing such important agreement which coincides with the two counties' celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations reflects the high level of the Qatari-Chinese relations in various political, economic, commercial, cultural, scientific and other fields, the paper added. In conclusion, Al-Raya stressed that the mutual exemption of entry visa for citizens of both countries will vigorously push the Qatari-Chinese cooperation especially in the field of tourism and trade. China looks at the Qatari economy with great optimism and confidence, the daily added noting China's openness for further bilateral cooperation and its readiness to develop this cooperation and transform it into a strategic partnership.
