Al Sharq: Saudi Arabia's Violation of Intellectual Property Rights

Doha, June 19 (QNA) - Al-Sharq newspaper stressed in its Friday editorial that Saudi Arabia and its media have resorted to fabrications to cover up its failures and violations, in a bid to distract the people from the country's internal problems. The paper said that the latest of these attempts was the reaction of Saudi authorities to the World Trade Organization's (WTO) ruling that the former failed to do enough to protect intellectual property with regards to beoutQ. The paper added that international news organizations published many reports of how social media companies delete dozens of thousands of fake accounts associated with Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Al-Sharq noted that Saudi Arabia have resorted to those means on countless occasions over the past three years to no avail. The editorial concluded by encouraging the Saudi regime to try other methods that would see it admit its wrongs, assume responsibility, and try to right them. (QNA)
