Al-Watan Commends Responsible Approach of State institutions in Fight against Coronavirus Pandemic

Doha, July 14 (QNA) -Al-Watan newspaper praised in its editorial on Tuesday the responsible and disciplined approach of the state's institutions in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic ( Covid-19 ), which had a great impact in classifying the State of Qatar as one of the lowest countries in the world in death rates due to coronavirus. This is due to its proactive checks to identify infected cases early, in addition to raising the capacity of hospitals, especially intensive care units, to ensure that all patients receive the necessary care. The newspaper pointed out that adopting strict medical procedures played a great role in protecting the elderly and those with chronic diseases from the risk of coronavirus infection, especially since these groups are the most exposed to deaths globally. In addition, the discipline of the Qatari plans and the strict implementation made the State of Qatar among the lowest countries in terms of global deaths, as these medical procedures, extensive guidelines, and close follow-up also had their role in the massive escalation of recovery cases, which amounted to 100,627 cases. The newspaper concluded by saying that the efforts made to confront the pandemic were directly reflected in increasing cases of recovery and less deaths. (QNA)
