Al-Watan Hails Qatar's Unlimited Support for Arab and Islamic Nations

Doha, July 11 (QNA) - Qatari newspapers Al-Watan said in its editorial Wednesday that the unlimited Qatari support for the Arab and Islamic nations and its relief efforts towards displaced people and refugees represent a supreme direction of the wise Qatari leadership that puts the issues of the Arab and Islamic nations in mind and provides support to the brothers in all parts of the world.
The paper hailed the State of Qatar's firm positions that support and protect human rights, promote the international peace and security and ensure the right of a decent life for all peoples.
In this regard, Al-Watan referred to the agreement signed yesterday by Qatar Charity and the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) to provide support worth more than $10 million for the most needy Syrian refugee families in Jordan and Lebanon, by offering cash assistance to alleviate their suffering and provide their basic needs.
The paper that the agreement will enable UNHCR to provide cash assistance to more than 30,000 Syrian families, including the 150,000 most vulnerable refugees in Lebanon and Jordan until the end of this year.
The daily underlined that the State of Qatar has pursued and continues to pursue its endeavors by various possible means to provide all kind of assistance, whether food, medical or educational.
It also said that this generous support comes in the framework of Qatar's efforts to help the Syrian refugees who fled from the hell of war in their cities and villages to neighboring countries.
Al-Watan concluded that this supportive attitude towards Syrian refugees indicates that Qatar is always looking forward to helping the needy, especially Arab and Muslim people. (QNA)
