Al-Watan Praises Qatar's Foreign Policy

Doha, May 26 (QNA) - Qatari newspaper Al-Watan praised Saturday the foreign policy of the State of Qatar which has won the admiration and great confidence of the world for being consistent with the resolution of the international legitimacy institutions, and for adopting fundamental decisions on political and security issues. Al-Watan noted that the State of Qatar pursues a sound political approach in its interaction with the events on the regional and international arenas, stressing its keenness on the promotion, protection and maintenance of international peace and security based on international charters and laws on vital issues in the international arena. In this context, observers have paid particular attention to Qatar's steadfastness in rejecting terrorism. The State of Qatar has always stated clearly and transparently its positions rejecting all acts committed by terrorist groups, Al-Watan said. Al-Watan referred to Qatar's condemnation of the car bomb explosion that took place in a busy street in the center of Benghazi city in eastern Libya, resulting in many deaths and injuries. In a statement Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated in a statement today Qatar's firm stance on rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of its motives and reasons. Qatar has proved to be worthy of the great political and diplomatic trust that it enjoys at the regional and international levels as a peace-loving nation that is keen on achieving the best interests of all societies, in the framework of establishing the foundations of cooperation and partnerships between States, Al-Watan Concluded.
