Algerian president calls for expansion of ties with Iran

Algiers, Sept 2, IRNA – Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika called for expansion of ties between Iran and Algeria in all fields including economy, politics and culture. He made the remarks in a meeting with Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif. Calling terrorism and extremis as common threats, Bouteflika urged more coordination between regional states to counter these issues. During the meeting, Zarif hailed Algeria stance towards regional developments. I hope that the joint supreme commission of the two countries prepare the ground for expansion of ties in all fields including oil, gas, finance, banking and tourism, Zarif added. He hailed constructive role of Algeria in regional developments including the crisis in Yemen and Syria. Iran follows policies of resistance economy similar to Algeria, he underlined.
