All air defense products produced inside Iran

Shahre-Ray, Sept 1, IRNA - Commander of Khatam-ul-Anbia air defense base said that with using indigenous capabilities and the efforts of scientists and experts, all the achievements of air defense are produced inside the country. Brigadier General Alireza Sabahifard said on Saturday at a ceremony, 'The pre-revolutionary air defense was entirely run by foreign advisers, and now this important defense section is fully supported by experts and internally operated.' He emphasized that the nature of the air defense after the victory of the revolution was completely transformed according to the ideals and goals of the Islamic system. Brigadier General Alireza Sabahifard reminded that the defensive organization, based on the nature of the modern wars, has undergone fundamental changes since 2008, so that, relying on internal forces, it has the ability to deal with all kinds of threats from its enemies. 'Air Defense in eight years of holy defense has been able to overthrow 600 enemy aircraft by relying on the young and mighty forces and now it is using past experiences,' he noted.
