All Indonesian Provinces To Have FKSD

Palembang, S Sumatra, March 13 (ANTARA) - All provinces in Indonesia will have the Regional Search and Rescue Coordination Forum (FKSD) to ease the disaster mitigation effort, National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) spokesman Agus Haryono said here on Tuesday. He said the presence of the FKSD in every province was necessary to improve the disaster mitigation effort. Agus noted that some cities such as Ambon in Maluku Province, Kupang in East Nusa Tenggara Province, and Pontianak in West Kalimantan Province already have the FKSD and the other provinces would soon have it. He added that the FKSD would soon be established in South Sumatra as well. According to him, natural disaster was unpredictable and therefore, should always be anticipated.
