Allocation Of Rural Fund For Papua Increases

BIAK, Papua, Jan 6 (Antara) - Allocation of rural fund for Papua increases to Rp4.3 trillion in 2017 from Rp3.3 trillion in 2016. The fund would for 5,420 villages in 29 regencies/municipal cities in the province. Data at the directorate of financial balance of the finance ministry showed that the rural fund share is not the same for each regencies, but would depend on the number of villages in each regency. The largest allocations are for the regency of Tolikara with 541 villages at Rp406 billion and the regency of Yahukimo with 519 villages at Rp384 billion, regency of Lanny with 354 villages at Rp270 billion and regency of Puncak jaya with 302 villages at Rp236 billion. The smallest allocations are for the regency of Supiori with 38 villages at Rp33 billion, the regency of Mamberamo Raya with 59 villages at Rp58 billion and the city of Jayapura with 11 villages at Rp15.8 billion. The rural funds are to help boost and accelerate rural development to improve the welfare of rural people.
