Aman Center Launches Initiative to Enhance Volunteering, Protection, Rehabilitation Services

Doha, February 16 (QNA) - The Protection and Social Rehabilitation Centre (AMAN), one of the centers under the umbrella of the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, launched on Wednesday the volunteer initiative to contribute to spreading its vision and message in terms of protecting women and children and exchanging experiences with specialists in all fields related to its work. The initiative aims to enable those looking for volunteer work to cooperate with the Center in a way that serves the target groups according to the volunteers specializations, in addition to exchanging experiences in the field of protection and social rehabilitation, and implementing some activities, awareness campaigns, initiatives and training programs to make the Center closer to the community. The areas of volunteer work for this initiative focuses on tasks related to the Centers work, such as protection and rehabilitation services, which include providing support in the psychological, social, legal, nursing, nutrition, and job rehabilitation fields, in addition to other aspects such as public relations, media awareness, organizing activities and events, and providing courses and multiple workshops. Regarding this initiative, Director of the Communication and Media Office at Aman Center Dr. Hanan Al Ali said in a statement that the Center seeks to find more ways to communicate with the local community to introduce its services and to involve specialists in the experience of social work and to present their expertise in their fields for the benefit of society, considering that this work is one of the finest voluntary work that many specialists around the world are keen to do. She pointed out that the initiative was established from the desire of many specialists to work with the Center, whether they are individuals specialized in the field of psychiatry and social rehabilitation or law firms that provide voluntary services to the Center. Aman Center prepares to celebrate International Women's Day, which falls on March 8, by organizing a series of activities that suit its target groups. (QNA)
