Ambassador of Bangladesh Visits Katara

Doha, July 24 (QNA) - Director General of Katara Cultural Village Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti met here on Sunday with HE Ambassador of People's Republic of Bangladesh to Qatar Achod Ahmed. Talks during the meeting dealt with means of cultural cooperation and the establishment of an art exhibition by artists from Bangladesh. Bangladesh's Ambassador, in a statement, praised Katara and its role in introducing different cultures and achieving humanitarian convergence through various events and activities that it provides. He expressed his pleasure to organize an exhibition aimed at introducing Bangladesh's culture and its various arts to Katara visitors from different nationalities, praising it as "a true touristic and cultural destination that honors the state of Qatar". He also said that his country is looking forward to develop its cultural relations with Qatar in the future stating Katara as a mean of achieving such goal. In turn, Dr. Al Sulaiti welcomed hosting the aforementioned art exhibition affirming that Katara is assuming full responsibility and dedication towards extending the bridges of communication and openness to the various and diverse cultures around the world. He also added that Katara is keen to provide all the facilities for the proposals it receives which may contribute in delivering the overall message of Katara and enriching the cultural scene in Qatar.
