Ambassador Pakayin: Azerbaijani delegation`s visit to Iran will contribute greatly to development of cooperation

Tehran, August 5, AZERTAC “The visit by Azerbaijan`s delegation led by Minister of Economy and industry Shahin Mustafayev to Iran will make a considerable contribution to the development of cooperation between the two countries,” said Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohsun Pakayin. The Ambassador noted that Azerbaijan could play an important role in developing Iran`s relations with the Caucasus. He underlined that the connection of the Qazvin-Rasht-Astara railway to the railroad network of Azerbaijan would be significant in terms of economic development of the two countries. "The connection of the railroads will give Iran access to Europe, and open Persian Gulf for Azerbaijan." The Ambassador said participation of the Iranian company in the production of oil from Azerbaijan`s Shah Deniz field would pave the way for joint implementation of oil and gas projects and placement of huge investment in this sector.”
