American Education Expo Opens in Doha Next Week

Doha, September 22 (QNA) - American Education Scholarship Expo opens September 30 at the St. Regis Hotel in Doha, event organisers International Student Network (ISN) announced Monday. Students in Qatar interested in obtaining scholarship to further their education in the US will have the opportunity to meet representatives from several American universities and colleges. The participating US universities, some offering full tuition scholarships, include; Murray State University, Rider University, Pace University, SUNY Institute of Technology, Concordia University Wisconsin, University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Pennsylvania State University, Drexel University, National University, Adelphi University, Saint Joseph's University, University of The Potomac and Drury University. Representatives from these American colleges and universities will be present to discuss undergraduate and graduate admissions and scholarship opportunities with students and their guardians. Prospective students should bring multiple copies of their report cards, transcripts, and TOEFL scores to enable representatives to determine admission and scholarship eligibility, expo organisers said. ISN Programme Co-ordinator Silvia Martinez Lowden said, "The American Education Expo is a free chance for potential future students and parents to meet face to face with representatives from top US universities. This is a great opportunity for students in Qatar to be rewarded for their achievements and hard work in high school." The US Department of Commerce at the US Embassy in Doha supports expo. Staff from the embassy will also be present at the expo to answer any questions the students and parents may have in regards to the student visa process and application, organisers said. (QNA)
