Americans block Red Cross aid to Red Crescent: Speaker

Tehran, April 6, IRNA - Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani on Saturday strongly criticized the United States for hindering relief aid from the International Red Cross to Iran's Red Crescent Society. Larijani said the Red Cross was created to assist in areas that are in trouble, but Americans prevented this organization to contribute with the Iranian government and falsely declared in a statement that they are ready to help Iran. The high-ranking official said that even one dollar from Red Crescent was not provided to the Red Crescent, and went on to say, 'The Americans' action to prevent the Red Cross from helping the Red Crescent, while they say that are superpower and want to manage the world, is a menace for this country.' “The deplorable measure was a statement by the US Secretary of State that the Iranians were unable to manage the floods in some cities, while the various sections worked round the clock to help the people,' the Iranian speaker noted. Larijani reiterated that the Americans have forgotten how the water flooded the cities of this country, and some of them were under water, and Trump had objected that previous presidents did not plan to deal with the flood.
