Announcement of Thailand's NRC members expected by next week

BANGKOK, September 27 (TNA) - An official annoncement of all 250 members of Thailand's National Reform Council (NRC) is expected by next week. Thai Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-o-cha told journalists on Friday that the army-led National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO), also headed by him, has completed the selection of all the 250 NRC members and the list will be forwarded to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej for a royal approval on October 2. General Prayuth said that the Cabinet Secretariat is examining the list and qualifications of all the 250-selected NRC members, before forwarding the list for His Majesty the King's endorsement in a royal command. The Thai prime minister later assured during his weekly address on Friday night that the selection process of all the 250 NRC members was transparent and the list will be officially announced after it is endorsed by His Majesty the King.
