Another round of flood hits Prachuap Khiri Khan

PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN, Nov 3 (TNA) - Heavy rain triggered the second round of flood in the provincial seat of Prachuap Khiri Khan, submerging residential areas and some roads. Accumulated rainwater and run-off from the Tanaosri mountain range flowed into residential areas in the Muang Prachuap Khiri Khan municipality again. Flood water is about 30-70 centimetres high on Prachuap Siri Road. Some portions of the road have been inundated and closed to traffic. About 150 soldiers and rescue workers help villagers move their belongings to higher ground. Two schools are forced to close for the third consecutive day. Head of the provincial highway office, Supoj Sermsab said that parts of inbound Phetkasem main highway have been flooded but only at a low level and the road is passable. (TNA)
