Antara-Xinhua Hold Joint Photo Exhibition In Jakarta

Jakarta, Oct 3 (Antara) - Indonesia`s news agency Antara and China`s Xinhua held a joint photo exhibition at the National Museum of Jakarta on Wednesday, which was inaugurated by China`s President Xi Jinping. Based on the theme of Indonesia-China Friendship, the exhibition features 70 photographs, reflecting the dynamic relations between the two countries over the years. "This photo exhibition is held with the hope that it can further improve the relationship between Indonesia and China just like what has been reflected in the photos shown today," Antara`s CEO Syaiful Hadi said during the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition. Meanwhile Xinhua CEO Li Congjun stated that Indonesia was an important partner for China, especially after the signing of Strategic Economic Partnership in 2005 after which political ties, trade and investment relations between the two countries had risen. "The various photos showed in this exhibition reflect the good relations between Indonesia and China during the past years," he said. In addition to President Xi Jinping inaugurating the exhibition, several Indonesian ministers and famous figures also attended the event, namely State-Owned Enterprises Minister Dahlan Iskan, National Education and Culture Minister Muhammad Nuh, Trade Minister Gita Wirjawan, Coordinating Minister for People`s Welfare Agung Laksono, Cabinet Secretary Dipo Alam and former Vice President Jusuf Kalla.
