Any society not respecting rights of women can not reach prosperity and tranquility, says PM Erdogan

ISTANBUL (A.A) - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Friday that any society that does not respect the rights of women, mothers, wives and girls could not reach prosperity and tranquility. Speaking at a conference on "Change in Muslim Societies and Role of Women" in Istanbul, Erdogan said that he saluted all the participants from sister countries, including the women of Tunisia, Morocco, Libya and Egypt. Any society that does not educate women, limits the rights of women and abuses the compassion of women does not have a chance to become a civilized one, Erdogan said. Those who implement violence on women do not have the right to speak about humanitarian and holy values, Erdogan said.
