Arab League Chief Welcomes Initiative of Saudi King on Qatar, Egypt Reconciliation

Cairo, December 21 (QNA) -Arab league secretary general Dr. Nabil Al-Araby welcomed initiative of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud regarding reconciliation between Qatar and Egypt and opening a new page to restore the good relations between the two countries. In a statement released today, Al-Araby lauded the Saudi King's initiative to mend fences and close the chapter of dispute between the two countries. He noted that the initiative is consistent with the Charter of the Arab League, which calls in its second article to reinforce ties between the Arab countries and to achieve cooperation between them. Arab League chief expressed hope for the initiative's completion and restoration of normal relations between the two friendly countries in all field. (QNA)
