Arab League, Iran Agree On The Need To Continue Consulting To Address The Phenomenon Of Terrorism

Cairo / NINA / The secretary-general of the Arab League, Nabil al-Arabi discussed with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, the current situation in the region and how to address the terrorism that has ravaged the region. A statement issued by the Arab League today cited that Al-Arabi met Zarif on the sidelines of the General Assembly of the United Nations held in New York, noting that Arabi stressed, during the meeting, on the importance of the unification of the Islamic world in the face of extremism that commits deadliest crimes, stressing that all Muslim countries should have to cooperate in order to address this imminent danger. For his part, Zarif said that the Islamic world is targeted by these terrorist acts, calling for regional cooperation between the countries of the region in order to address the phenomenon of terrorism. He announced Iran's readiness for cooperation with countries in the region in order to face the current dangers. / End
