Argentine festival honors “Bright Day”

TEHRAN,Nov.25(MNA) – Iranian director Hossein Shahabi’s “Bright Day” received special mention at the 28th Mar del Plata International Film Festival, organizers announced on Sunday. The film is about Roshan, a teacher in a kindergarten. She intends to save the life of the father of one of her students, who has been accused of unintentional homicide. The Golden Astor for Best Feature Film went to the Mexican and Spanish joint production “The Golden Cage” by Diego Quemada-Diez. The festival was organized by the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA), and is accredited by the Fédération International des Associations des Producteurs de Films (FIAPF). The goal of the Festival, given its international nature, is to show a substantial assortment of foreign feature films and to welcome their corresponding delegates, thus contributing to the development of culture and the international film industry and its promotion in Latin America.
