BANGKOK, January 12 (TNA) - Thai Army Chief General Prayuth Chan-ocha has suggested that children and youths prepare themselves for the future and always perform good deeds. On the occasion of the National Children's Day on Saturday, General Prayuth said if children and youths have patience in developing themselves, have knowledge and discipline, the society will be filled with righteousness and merciful, as advised by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. General Prayuth also presented the Royal Thai Army's slogan for the 2013 National Children’s Day, which is “Love Parents, Obey Teachers, Respect Elderly People to Make Country Safe”. The Thai army chief gave the slogan, after he presided over the opening of 2013 National Children’s Day at the Royal Thai Army headquarters in Bangkok, where a number of children, accompanied by their parents or their guardians, toured and many tanks, armoured personnel carriers, helicopters and weapons were displayed. Urging the children to study hard, the Thai army chief, along with other senior army officers, then sang a song called ‘For Thai Soil’ for the youths visiting his office. Similar exciting activities to celebrate the National Children’s Day are also held at the Royal Thai Air Force and its museum.
