Art exhibit to explore motorbike-riding thieves in Tehran

TEHRAN,Aug.27(MNA) – A collection of paintings by Hooman Bayat, part of which focuses on the motorcycle-riding thieves in Tehran, will go on display in an exhibition at the Shokuh Gallery on August 30. The paintings depict scenes in which the motorcycle-riding thieves snatch people’s bags in the streets of the capital, the gallery reported in a press release on Monday. The other part of the collection centers on children and their colorful world, their fantasies and their play. Bayat is a self-taught artist who has been working for 18 years. His choicees of colors are highly significant in his works. His first exhibit was held in Hamedan in 1995 and this is his second exhibit. The exhibit will be running until September 4 in the gallery located at 19 Amir Nuri Alley, North Salimi St., Andarzgu Blvd.
