Assets of Thai Cabinet members reported

BANGKOK, October 31 (TNA) - The Office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) has publicly reported assets and liabilities of the Thai Cabinet's remaining members, including those of Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha. According to the NACC's report, released on Friday, Thai Deputy Prime Minister MR Pridiyathorn Devakula, who oversees economic affairs, is the richest among the 33 Cabinet members of Prime Minister General Prayut, with his net asset of about 1.38 billion baht and no liabilities. Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office ML Panadda Diskul is the second richest in the incumbent Cabinet with his net asset of about 1.32 billion baht and no liabilities. Prime Minister General Prayut, himself, has his total asset of about 128 million baht and his total liability of 654,745 baht. Education Minister Admiral Narong Pipatthanasai has the least total asset of about 6.95 million baht and total liability of about 2.92 million baht. The interim government of Prime Minister General Prayut has been in office since September 4, 2014 and, according to the interim charter and for the sake of transparency, all Cabinet members must declare their assets and liabilities to NACC and to the public. Earlier, the anti-graft commission publicly reported assets and liabilities of some Cabinet members who resigned from their seats at the National Legislative Assembly (NLA) to take their new posts in the incumbent Cabinet.
