ATTA backs Thai Tourism 2015 Campaign

BANGKOK, August 22 (TNA) - The Association of Thai Travel Agents (ATTA) supports the Thai Tourism 2015 Campaign, initiated by the army-led National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO). ATTA President Sisdivachr Cheewarattanporn told journalists on Thursday that ATTA is ready to work with the Ministry of Tourism and Sports to support and implement activities and plans under the Thai Tourism 2015 Campaign. Sisdivachr said he has been informed by the state-run Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), under the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, that the activities and plans under the Thai Tourism 2015 Campaign are being tailored by agencies concerned and will be officially announced after they are concluded. The ATTA president opined, meanwhile, that the new tourism and sports minister should understand and have experiences in the Thai tourism and sports comprehensively, together with sound vision, in order for the ministry to develop effective marketing plans to reach different targeted groups of tourists and to improve existing tourist attractions across the country, along with introducing new ones to international visitors.
