Austrian FM arrives in Tehran

Tehran, April 27, IRNA – Austrian Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz arrived in Tehran on Saturday evening. Kurz, who is in Tehran at the invitation of his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif, is to meet him on Sunday and will discuss international, regional and nuclear issues during his 2-day visit. The two foreign ministers are to attend a press conference after their meeting on Sunday. He is scheduled to discuss issues of mutual interest with Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani, too. The visit aims to prepare ground for visit of Austrian President Heinz Fischer to Tehran, who has accepted invitation of his Iranian counterpart President Hassan Rouhani to pay an official visit to Iran. Austria has hosted the latest three rounds of negotiations between Iran and Group 5+1 and the next round of talks will also be held in Vienna on May 13-14, 2014. Kurz, 27 years old, was appointed to the post in 2013 and is the youngest minister in the Austrian cabinet. End
