Authority reports on drug crackdowns

BANGKOK, July 27 (TNA) - Thailand's Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB) reports on its drug crackdowns and seizure of drug-involved assets in its latest operation this month. Speaking at a press conference in Bangkok on Monday, ONCB Secretary-General Permpong Chaowalit reported that his office's latest anti-drug campaign, which kicked off on July 1, 2015, has resulted in the confiscation of up to 33,000 methamphetamine pills, along with ice meths, Alprazolam, and kratom. Permpong said drug-involved assets, worth over 60 million baht, have also been seized since early this month. According to the ONCB chief, the anti-drug operation, which include raids at suspected sites and arrests of drug suspects nationwide, will be continued until the end of September 2015. (TNA)
