Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry: Anniversary of January 20 tragedy was marked in Shusha

Baku, January 20, AZERTAC A commemoration ceremony dedicated to the 31st anniversary of the January 20 tragedy has been held in the city of Shusha with the participation of the servicemen of the Azerbaijan Army, Azerbaijan’s Minstry of Defense told AZERTAC. The memory of Shehids (Martyrs) was honored with observing a minute of silence. The national anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played. During the event, the historical significance of the January 20 tragedy was emphasized. Detailed information on the successes of both the national leader Heydar Aliyev’s and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev’s policies to raise the world community’s awareness about the tragedy was given at the event.
