Azerbaijan, France discuss how to develop bilateral relations

Baku, April 26, AZERTAC Azerbaijan`s Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov has met Minister of State for European Affairs of France Harlem Desir on the sidelines of the 7th Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) in Baku. The sides exchanged views on the development of bilateral relations in a variety of fields. They noted the importance of the 7th Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) held in Baku. Highlighting the latest escalation along the line of contact of the armed forces of Armenia and Azerbaijan since 2nd of April, Minister Elmar Mammadyarov mentioned that Armenia continues to violate the ceasefire with heavy weapons and as a result of which civilian objects in Tartar district were sustained serious damages. Noting the importance of increasing the efforts by the Minsk Group co-chairs of OSCE on the resolution of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, Elmar Mammadyarov underlined Azerbaijan’s readiness for the result oriented negotiations on the settlement of the conflict. The sides exchanged views on the regional and global issues of mutual concern.
