Azerbaijan, Iran mull cooperation

Baku, April 21 AZERTAC Azerbaijan`s Prime Minister Artur Rasizade has met a delegation led by Minister of Information and Communications Technology of Iran, Mahmoud Vaezi. The Premier congratulated Mahmoud Vaezi for awarding him with the “Dostluq” (Friendship) Order, one of the high state awards of Azerbaijan. Artur Rasizade praised steadily developing cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran in the economic, trade and humanitarian fields. He said there was great potential for boosting cooperation in the fields of agriculture, tourism, banking, pharmaceutics, and transport. The parties stressed the importance of arranging the reciprocal visits and bilateral meetings in development of relations between the two neighbouring countries. The sides touched upon the groundbreaking ceremony of a railway bridge over Astara River on Azerbaijan-Iran border, and described this as a result of the works done over the last period. They spoke about cooperation in international organizations, fighting against the terrorism, radicalism. The sides stressed the significance of settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within the norms of international law, borders` inviolability and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
