"Azerbaijan - magical Land of Fire" exhibition opens in Prague

Baku, November 28, AzerTAc The opening of “Azerbaijan - magical Land of Fire” exhibition was held in the National Museum, Prague,. The event organized by National History Museum of Azerbaijan (NAHM) National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), and National Museum of the Czech Republic, took place with the support of the Azerbaijani Embassy in the Czech Republic. Director of the Czech National Museum Michal Lukes, director of NAHM Naile Valikhanli, Azerbaijani Ambassador Farid Shafiyev stressed the importance of development of cultural relations between the two countries. Representatives of the ministries of foreign affairs, culture and other state agencies of the Czech Republic, as well as members of the accredited diplomatic corps in this country, Azerbaijan and Czech communities attended the event. Then, Azerbaijani composer Uzeyir Hajibayov’s romance “Sensiz” (Without you) was performed by employees of the embassy Nigar Efendiyeva and Tural Gancaliyev on tar and piano. The ancient and rich history and culture exhibits of Azerbaijan, national musical instruments, clothing and jewelry, archaeological finds, old coins and banknotes as well as other valuable items were shown in different halls of the Czech National Museum. Various publications about the culture and history of Azerbaijan, also "Heritage" (“Irs”) magazine in Czech language and other information booklets and brochures were distributed among the visitors.
