Azerbaijan Republic Defense Minister to visit Iran

Baku, April 12, IRNA – Azerbaijan Republicˈs Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov is to pay an official visit to Iran on April 14, 2014. The Azeri media quoting press department of Defense Ministry declared that the 2-day visit is at the invitation of Iranˈs Minister of Defense and Logistics Hossein Dehqan. Issues concerning bilateral military cooperation and regional security will be discussed during the visit. The two sides may also sign cooperation agreements in a number of military and technical fields, an Azerbaijan Republic military expert Aziz Jaˈfarov said. The expert said that signing the agreements would be beginning of a new era in military cooperation between the two countries.
