Azerbaijan sends aid plane to Afghanistan

In accordance with the instruction of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the Ministry of Emergency Situations has today sent humanitarian aid to the people suffering from the natural disaster in Afghanistan. Some 122 tones of humanitarian aid with the total value of AZN 211,500 was dispatched from the Heydar Aliyev International Airport. The humanitarian aid consists of food products and bedroom sets, said commander of civil defense forces, Major-General Ilham Abdullayev. The aid plane will arrive in Afghanistan after the afternoon on May 4. The aid will be presented to the Afghan government by employees of the Embassy of Azerbaijan.
