Azerbaijan, Turkey: prospects of cooperation in military field discussed

Baku, February 10, AzerTAc Azerbaijani Defense Minister, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov has met a delegation led by General Commander of Mapping of the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Turkey, Lieutenant General Burhanettin Aktı. The meeting discussed the measures taken for the development of the armed forces of the two countries, the military-political situation in the region, bilateral military cooperation and the importance of the settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict for the region. The sides as well exchanged views on the prospects of relations between the Azerbaijani and Turkish armed forces and other issues of mutual interest. The military attaché of the Armed Forces of Turkey to Azerbaijan, Brigadier General Hasan Nevzat Tasdeler was present at the meeting.
