Azerbaijani “Asan service” model presented at 7th EURONEST Parliamentary Assembly in Brussels

Baku, June 28, AZERTAC Azerbaijan`s “Asan service” model was presented at the 7th Ordinary Session of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly which took place from Monday, 25 June to 27 June in Brussels. A delegation of Azerbaijani MPs, representatives of other EU member states, a number of EU institutions, international and local NGOs and other officials attended the session. The session highlighted the issues such as security challenges in the Eastern Partnership countries and enhancing the role of the EU in addressing them, foreign direct investment in the EU Member States and Eastern Partner countries, energy efficiency development and energy sustainability in the EU and Eastern European Partners, tackling informal and undeclared labor and enhancing the social security of employees in the European Union and Eastern Partner countries. A representative of the State Agency for Public Services and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan informed the participants of the “ASAN service” model and the projects implemented within this service. He said the main purpose of the “Asan service”, which operates on the principles of efficiency, transparency, politeness, responsibility and flexibility, is to improve the transparent public services delivery, prevent possible cases of corruption, introduce trend innovations in service sector and increase the effectiveness of institutional reforms carried out in the service sector. The ASAN representative also highlighted the "ASAN Viza", "ASAN kommunal", "ASAN payment", "ASAN Radio", "ABAD" and other projects implemented by the State Agency as part of institutional reforms in the service sector.
