Azerbaijani Ambassador to Italy meets Maltese businessmen

Valletta, January 30, AzerTAc Azerbaijani Ambassador to Italy Vagif Sadigov, who has got concurrent accreditation to Malta and San-Marino, has met Maltese businessmen at the Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry as part of his working visit to Valletta. Addressing the event, the Ambassador highlighted the economic development of Azerbaijan as well as wide opportunities created in the country for foreign investors. He said there were a number of fields, which were open for foreign investment. Mr. Sadigov invited Maltese businessmen to Azerbaijan to get familiar with the economy of the country. He also touched upon Azerbaijan`s relations with the European Union and the country`s role in European energy security. Employee of the Embassy of Azerbaijan Zaur Gadimaliyev made a presentation on business and investment opportunities in Azerbaijan. During the trip, the Azerbaijani Ambassador also met Deputy President of the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry Anton Borg and Director General Kevin Borg. They exchanged views over prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Malta. Mr. Sadigov proposed the organization of trade mission of representatives of Maltese companies in Azerbaijan.
