Azerbaijani and Turkish people learn more about each other's culture

Baku, November 24, AzerTAc Minister of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan Abulfaz Garayev discussed the development of cultural cooperation between the two countries at the meeting with a delegation led by Turkish colleague Omer Celik. Garayev told that, Azerbaijani culture days held, last year in Turkeys’ 3 cities, had aroused a great interest in culture and art of Azerbaijan. He expressed hope, Culture Days of Turkey to be held in Azerbaijan for the first time, will become a significant event and stimulate the development of cultural relations between the two countries. It is also of great importance for becoming more familiar with the culture of Turkey. Recalling his meeting with the Turkish Minister in Bodrum, A. Garayev also noted the importance of the exchange of views on the implementation of joint projects, as well on development of culture and tourism. He informed about the increase in the number of tourists from both sides and started several joint project. Turkish Culture and Tourism Minister Omer Celik said: “We feel at home in brotherly Azerbaijan. Our language, religion, history is the same, have a common vision for the future. We can say that there is no issue that not being able to agree. We must always appreciate our heritage and deepen our relations.” He noted the importance of days of culture held in both countries on learning more about each others’ culture. Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ismail Alper Coskun also attended the meeting.
