Azerbaijani Culture and Tourism Minister meets Argentine counterpart

Baku, February 12 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfas Garayev has met Tourism Minister of Argentina Carlos Enrique Meyer. The talks focused on development of tourism cooperation between the two countries. Garayev said Azerbaijan is interested in development of relationship with Latin American countries. He recalled that two years ago Azerbaijani culture days were held in Cuba and Mexico. “If similar event is held in Argentina, this country`s society will learn more about Azerbaijan.” The Minister also noted business relations are planned to be established between the two countries` tourism companies. Garayev also briefed the Argentine counterpart on what had been done in his country to develop the tourism sector. The Minister said at the initiative of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Baku hosted on April last year the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue. He added the President also signed an Order, under which the Forum would be held every two years in the capital of Azerbaijan. Garayev also invited Argentine delegation to participate in the next Forum to be held in 2013. For his part, Carlos Enrique Meyer praised Azerbaijan`s cooperation with Latin American countries both in economic and political spheres. The Argentine Minister also underlined the importance of boosting tourism cooperation between the two countries.
