Azerbaijani Diaspora warned Swedish deputies against illegal visiting of occupied territories

Baku, December 3 (AzerTAc). The parliament of Sweden, as well as all world community, shouldn't remain indifferent to the fact of violation of the right of more than one million Azerbaijani refugees and IDPs, and should promote their returning to their homelands. This was stated at the meeting of representatives of the Congress of Azerbaijanis of Sweden with the members of Swedish parliamentary fraction "Left-wing party" who has made a visit in 2006 unapproved by official Baku to the occupied territories of Azerbaijan. Members of the Azerbaijani Diaspora have informed the Swedish deputies on the current situation in negotiating process on settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, underlining destructive position of the Armenian side. Representatives of the Congress noted importance of discussions on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in parliament of Sweden in 2012. Materials and books of foreign authors and experts about the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and Khojaly tragedy have been presented to the Swedish deputies. It was stated that the absence of truthful information promoted formation among the Swedish politicians of the biased and prejudiced relation to the question of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The congress of Azerbaijanis of Sweden considers that this meeting and presented historical materials are the effective step aiming at not admitting distribution of falsifications by the Armenian community among political elite of Sweden, and also to stop illegal visiting the occupied territories of Azerbaijan by the Swedish members of parliament.
