Azerbaijani Foreign Minister meets Director of the WHO Regional director for Europe

Baku, June 12, AZERTAC Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has met with the Director of the World Health Organization's Regional Office for Europe, Zsuzsanna Jakab. According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, congratulating the country on the occasion of the first European Games, Mr. Zsuzsanna Jakab emphasized the achievements of Azerbaijan in health and social spheres in recent years. She also stressed the active participation of Azerbaijan as donor country in projects carried out within the framework of World Health Organization, therefore they intend to expand relations with the country. Speaking about the close cooperation of Azerbaijan with World Health Organization, Mr. Mammadyarov appreciated the aid of the organization in a number of disease-fighting projects. At the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual interest.
