Azerbaijani President receives credentials of incoming Chinese ambassador

Baku, February 7 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev has today accepted credentials of newly-appointed ambassador of China Hong Jiuyin. The Ambassador reviewed a ceremonial guard of honor. President Ilham Aliyev and the Chinese ambassador then had a meeting. The Head of State underlined the Azerbaijani-Chinese relations were based on friendship and partnership principles. The Azerbaijani leader praised intergovernmental relations. President Ilham Aliyev said the two countries have big opportunities to expand cooperation in the fields of economy and investment even more. The Head of State expressed hope that as friendly and partner countries Azerbaijan and China would continue to cooperate in regional issues as well as in strengthening peace and security in the world. President Ilham Aliyev wished Hong Jiuyin successes in his activities. The diplomat conveyed greetings of Chinese President Hu Jintao to the Azerbaijani leader. Hong Jiuyin said he had eye-witnessed big development in Azerbaijan since his last visit to the country 3 years ago. The ambassador said China hailed Azerbaijan`s achievements in establishing stability within the society and ensuring rapid economic development under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. President Ilham Aliyev recalled his visit to China in 2008 and meetings with Chinese President Hu Jintao. The Head of State added Azerbaijan was happy for China`s rapid development and achievements. President Ilham Aliyev asked the diplomat to convey his greetings to the Chinese leader.
