Azerbaijan`s Minister attends 50th International Agricultural Fair in Paris

Baku, February 28 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s Minister of Agriculture Ismat Abasov headed to France, to attend the 50th International Agricultural Fair in Paris. Mr. Abasov has met Director General of Lactalis Company Michel Nalet. They exchanged views on joint cooperation in the fields of increasing the milk production and milk processing. The Minister also met Director General of World Organization for Animal Health Bernard Vallat and discussed issues on veterinary law. Abasov met Director General of the European and Mediterranean Plant Protection Organization (EPPO) Ringolds Arnitis. They praised the general situation of cooperation between Azerbaijan and EPPO. Mr. Abasov also attended an event on Khojaly massacre organized by Azerbaijan`s Embassy in France, as well as the opening ceremony of the exhibition in the Chablis supported by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation within the project “Cultural Values of Azerbaijan – the Pearl of the Caucasus”. He stressed the importance of “Justice for Khojaly” International Awareness Campaign initiated by Vice-Chairperson of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva. Azerbaijan`s Ambassador to France Elchin Amirbayov was also present at the meetings. Billed as the largest farm show in France, the 50th International Agricultural Fair in Paris opened its doors to visitors on Saturday. Among the nearly 1,000 stalls showcasing the best of French produce and agricultural know-how, RFI found an osteopath…for animals.
