Azeri folklore dance band wins two nominations at international Tbilisi Olympiad

Baku, March 29 (AzerTAc). Marneuli-based Azerbaijani folklore dance group Sarvan has won two nominations at the 2nd International Olympiad in Tbilisi, Georgia. Sarvan competed in three events and became first in two of them in the Olympiad, which brought together dance bands from Georgia, Azerbaijan, Chili, Armenia and other countries to be in action in 42 nominations. Sarvan`s artistic director, Jamila Mammadova, said the group was judged the best band for performing "Yalli" and “Injalik” Azerbaijani folk dances. In another nomination, the Azerbaijani dance group ranked second with "Tarakama" dance.
