Azeri movie to join international film festival in India

Baku, November 12 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijani movie “The Precinct” (“Saha”) will participate in the 17th Kolkata Film Festival in India. “The Precinct” is a co-production between Azerbaijan ("Narimanfilm") and Georgia (“Georgianfilm” and “Bagira Films”) which was developed within the framework of the Independent Film-makers` Association – South Caucasus (IFA-SC) training program. The project benefited from the active consultation of the British script-writer Clare Downs and French producer Cedomir Kolar. Screenwriter and film director of the movie represented Azerbaijan in many festivals is Ilgar Safat, directors of photography are Konstantin Esadze and Vakho Karchkhadze and art directors are Rena Effendi and Torakhanum Agabeyova. Zaza Bejashvili from Georgia, Melissa Papel from France, Vahif Ibrahimoglu and Timur Odushev from Azerbaijan play the leading roles in the film. The Kolkata Film Festival is an annual film festival held in Kolkata, India, which previews new films of all genres including documentaries from around the world. Founded in 1995, it is second oldest international film festival in India. The festival is organized by West Bengal Film Centre under the West Bengal Government.
