BACA president receives Jordanian ambassador

Manama, July 28 (BNA): President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, received here today the outgoing Jordanian Ambassador to Bahrain, Mohammed Ali Siraj. Shaikha Mai stressed Bahrain’s pride in its humanitarian and cultural relations with Jordan, highlighting the depth of those ties and their role in enriching the local cultural scene. She lauded the constant cooperation of the Jordanian Embassy with BACA, which, she said, resulted in joint cultural projects that enhanced bilateral cultural exchange. In this context, BACA President cited Jordan’s participation in the 17th Bahrain International Book Fair as a guest of honour. The ambassador expressed thanks to Shaikha Mai, and lauded BACA’s efforts in enriching local and Arab cultural movement. He expressed hope that the Bahraini-Jordanian cooperation would continue in order to launch more joint cultural projects that meet the two brotherly peoples’ aspirations.
